I identify in many ways: artist as absurdist, artist as activist, artist as feminist, artist as facilitator of creative expression and inventive problem-solving. I believe that modeling and guiding audiences through absurdist activities creates a liminal space–between our known reality and the bizarre–to bend our minds and consider different ways of living.

As a project-based artist, I produce multi-faceted artwork to help make sense of our current political and social conditions. My practice spans both studio and social forms, including drawing, printmaking, textiles, performance, and social practice through workshops, discussions, and collaborative or interactive performance events. My work responds to my ever-present feelings of grief, despair, and fear around political collapse, social despondence, and Earth’s rapidly deteriorating climate—feelings that have heightened since I became a parent in 2020. To combat panic, I find myself working with my hands to conjure gestures of interconnectedness. These “solutions” are makeshift—temporary bridges fashioned out of the resources at hand. My overarching goal is to help humans consider ways of living that approach our intimate and societal relationships with care.

My work is guided by the principle that the collective challenges we face in 2026 can only be combated with our collective imagination.
